Uw Ranger Solo - Lizorpions Uncut
So in my quest to find a solo Uw ranger build that didn't involve trapping I heard a lot of things. Most of which was it wasn't possible because rangers just don't have what it takes to tank the Aatxes. That being said, the idea 55 came to mind. Well being a 55 itself requires a lot of energy without trying to put out any damage, with it would be insane, especially with a rangers +3 energy regen. It just wasn't happening.
So after a while of browsing skills, testing misc builds, and failing epicly, I came across an EXTREMELY SLOW working build to clear the Aaxtes, Grasps, and Dryders. The pulling of everything must be done with extreme caution though.
Without further delay, here is the build which my friend and I have named "Lizorpions Uncut".
Protective Spirit
Healing Breeze
Essence Bond
Enraged Lunge
Call of Protection
Poisonous Bite
Feral Lunge
Charm Animal
Expertise - 8+3
Beast Mastery - 11+4
Healing Prayers - 8
Protection Prayers - 9
Thats right, its a solo Uw pet build. This is possibly the longest build you will ever try to run if you do decide to try and run it, but it is the funniest thing I have ever done in my entire life.
The name of the build came from what me and my friend had decided to call the big monster thing in that movie Cloverfield, because it reminded us of part scorpion and part lizard, AKA, the Lizorpion. Plus I was using the dune lizard, so it just worked perfectly.
NOTE: This build only works with low level pets because protective spirit is a lot more effective at low levels.
So to start I usually walk up the ramp on the right, lock a target for my pet, then walk forward slightly so she charges, then I step back and cast Call of Protection and Protective Spirit. I don't cast healing breeze right away because if I see a nightmare pop up, I run back and unlock my pets target so she follows me back behind the ghost, taking the aggro away from the Aatxes that don't patrol, leaving just the 1 that does patrol if you pulled it, and the nightmare. At that point you can cast your Protective Spirit and Healing Breeze on your pet again and start firing away at the nightmare while your pet nibbles the Aatxe. Make sure you get the one Aatxe that patrols to the right side as well. Kill the patrol and one from the group and then back off and switch to the left side, doing the same. After theres only 1 left from each group except the middle group, run up to the ghost who has the quest and lock your pets target on one of the Aatxes in the middle group. He should charge all the way around pulling one of the left over Aaxtes. The other one you just aggro and back off on right away because by the time it starts to charge you your pet will be in its aggro range so once you back of it'll target your pet.
NOTE: If your having energy problems, change your elite to Ferocious Strike, thats what I started the build with, but this way it does a lot more damage.
Ill be uploading a few pics soon, so keep watching. Happy hunting with your animal companions!
Feel free to flame, I deserve it, this build is freakin crazy XD
{Special Thanks to Forgotton200 for inspiring me to make this build}
P.S Adding the skill Disrupting Lunge to this build, you can solo the elementals outside Ascalon in HM moderately easy, and its not terribly slow either.

lol well I'll give you this much, its interesting needless to say. But if you want a faster solo build for rangers just give me a whisper and I can ping you a few that don't require traps.

I made a demo video while waiting for favor and then one in uw, both are really bad quality, anyone have a good suggestions for a screen cap program?

This was while I was waiting for favor, just a random spot to kill something with the build while I waited, sorry for the quality

Good job. I thought you were trying to come up with a bow-only-ranger UW solo build but this seems fun as well.

Try and throw in GDW for the pet, with r10 delver, its +20 dmg per hit + KD, if you then can fit in brambles and lacerate you got quite some degen + more damage....
Just an idea.
